Yigdal Elohim Chai - יגדל אלקים חי
Composed by Daniel ben Yehuda. This Piyyut has poetically the thirteen principles of faith as formulated by Maimonides in his commentary on the Mishnah. The song was written by Rabbi Daniel Ben Yehuda, a judge from Rome in the 13th century, who lived about a hundred years after Maimonides. It has been enthusiastically received and accepted in most of the prayer practices of communities in Israel, where it is sung at the end of the (evening) prayer (from Piyyut.org).
